PINELANDS SOCCER ASSOCIATIONMINUTES FROM OCTOBER 5, 2004 MEETINGMembers in attendance:Bill O’Connell Vicki Landolf Dia MelegaTerri Binet Pat Angelus Mike AngelusJackie Jackson Antony Lewis Kevin LangTony Gravato George RothianosMeeting called to order @ 7:45 PM by Bill O'ConnellMeeting minutes from August and September, 2004 were reviewed.August minutes approved on a motion from George and seconded by Dia.September minutes approved on a motion from Terri and seconded by George.Treasurer’s Report:The report was distributed, but tabled until next meeting due to lack of attendance by traveling coaches.Vice President of Recreation:IMPORTANT NOTE: Div 1= all 2:30 games will be moved to 1:30.Div 2 and 3 coaches are responsible for removing flags after the last game is played.Important Note: Jonathan Reneir (sp) will be receiving a voucher for spring because of an injury he received.Vice President of Traveling:Coaches will be fined 20.00 for being absent at future PSA meetings.Mike Angelus stressed coaches must display respect to refs at all time and all referee issues must be brought to his attentionAs of Oct 5th only 1 team has paid their registration in full. President O Connell is extremely frustrated/disapproved over this issue. Coaches must remedy this situation ASAP.Traveling teams (Striker's, Red Hot's, and Diva's) have not sold their signs as of today.REMINDER: These teams have 30 days remaining to sell their signs.Quartermaster:Any equipment issues must be brought to Tony or Steve's attention.Patty Angelus requested to have ball pumps available.Old Business:Because of the rising costs of insurance, balls, shirts, trophies, training. refs, etc. the registration fee subject was re-visited.Two suggestions were brought to the table:1st suggestion: change registration fee to $50/child with out ball. ($5 extra if player needs/wants a ball)2nd suggestion: raise registration fee to $55/child.This subject was tabled until November's meeting.New Business:Coaches were reminded to stress the importance of good sportmanship at all times to players and parents.President Bill O'Connell will be monitoring the games on Sunday (for the rest of the season) to ensure everyone is displaying good sportsmanship on and off the field.Next month's meeting will be at the PInelands Regional High School. The room number will be posted on PSA's website.Patty Angelus recommended PSA Board implements the following rule:A team can not score more than 5 points before the other team scores. This issue was discussed at length and tabled until next month.This meeting nominations were accepted for PSA Board positions in 2005, so far the nominees are:Secretary: Jackie Jackson (thank you)Quarter Master: Tony, Bill, and AntonyTreasurer: Dia MelegaV.P. Recreation: TonyV.P. Traveling: Mike AngelusJonathan Aikers spoke about the stadium session on Oct 9th @ 4:30 @ Giants Stadium.
