The referee problem in reference to Pat McNeil’s question was taken care of and the issue is now closed.Vice President of Recreation:We have had many complaints from various coaches about the issue of ‘better teams’ running up the score and defeating the purpose of what recreational soccer is all about. Several ideas were given on how to control the score of the games. Some examples are: put good players on defense and encourage them not to score, cap the amount of points you can score, ten passes before a goal can be made, once three goals are made, that team cannot score until the other team scores, move the dominate players up or move to a traveling team. Each coach has been asked to rate their players on a 1 to 4 scale. 1 being a great player and 4 being a poor player. Please have your rosters into Vicki by the last game of the season. Next season we can distribute the players equally so that each team is more balanced. We also must enforce that players, coaches, and parents, must respect other players, coaches and referees at all times. If we discourage children at the recreational level they won’t come back to us in the fall. Also reviewed when it is proper to make a goal kick, corner kick and encouraged all the coaches to use their whistles during the games. Please take care to call all of your parents if you cancel a practice. Several times I have run across irate parents that they were never notified that a practice was cancelled. We need to use the trainers more for the instructional level. Watch how they run your practice and ask questions!Quartermaster:Traveling teams were asked if there are any issues regarding uniforms that need to be attended to. Divas are missing the #3 uniform and have a double #5 uniform. Strikers need 15 pairs of youth socks. Backpacks have been distributed to all traveling teams. Pat McNeil needs pinnies. Also we need to order cases of paint with the correct nozzles, bug spray foggers from Home Depot, straps for the Division 3 nets need to be fixed, and there is a huge divitPlease encourage all your players and parents to clean up after themselves after practices and games. Need more trash cans on Division three fields.Old Business:The club is sponsoring a club fund raising spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 8th from 5 to 9PM.
