Vicki Landolph stressed the importance of having fun and playing Soccer-related games with Division 1 and 2 children. She provided numerous examples of games in the packets that were given out to every head coach who was present at the meeting.

Also, in the packets are the practice schedules and games schedules as well as the designated field assignments for practice.

Reminder for coaches and parents: players must wear shin guards, cleats (optional, but highly recommended), no jewelry.

Encourage parents to arrive at the field 20 minutes early for every game.

NEW RULE: Parents must stay behind the yellow line in Division 2 and 3.

Division 1 will not have any referees.

Division 2 will play 8 v 8; 7 on field 1 in goal

Any player 7 years of age or older who is ready to move up to the next level must be identified to the board ASAP.

Vice President of Traveling:

Important: a two part motion was made by Victor Moore.

Part 1: Next Season PSA will not register for league until they receive a minimum paid roster and payment for every child. Ex: 8v8; must roster 8 players, 11v11 must roster 11 players.

Part 2: If any team folds through out the season their account will be frozen immediately.

Their fines will be paid and the remainder goes into the general fund and then the PSA board will determine how it will be distributed.

This two part motion was seconded by Joe Pomponio.

The need was discussed for Traveling team coaches to be notified in advance of  registration deadlines.

Suggestion 1: PSA should draft a flyer with registration dates.

Suggestion 2: One registration in Fall in the amount of  $150.00 , which would incorporate the Fall and Spring payment. Both suggestions were tabled until the next meeting.

Traveling coaches were highly encouraged to bring creative ideas to the next meeting on the aforementioned subject.

Quartermaster:

Quarter Master, Steve Kohler, informed new coaches that he will be issuing out some balls so they can start practice. Coaches must identify their equipment needs to him ASAP.

Quarter master will set up goals on Sunday morning for Division 1 Games.

Hot Topic: change of uniform for traveling teams. POC: Steve Kohler

Samples of sizing will be available for next meeting.

All ordering must go through Quartermasters; Steve Kohler and Tony Gravato.

The Quartermaster's prefer coaches to order supplies by using the requisition form available on the website.

Old Business:

F license course certificates were handed out to the coaches. The coaches felt this course was a big success.

New Business:

Dribble pass and Score is scheduled for June 19, 2004

Metro Stars player's development training will be held on Monday's @ 5:30-7:30

On March 20th, Professional Trainer, Jonathan Aiker's will begin training. Aiker's UK profile score was a 62 out of a possible 64. The Board felt he fit the PSA's profile better than the other candidates.

Schedules have been posted to the PSA website.

The Professional Trainer will be working with the recreational teams for the last 5 weeks of practice. Coaches need to inform Mike Angelus of their best practice day (day most children attend) so he can develop the professional trainers schedule.

New referee assigner; Roy Vandutten (sp)

Ocean County Park is scheduled to be opened April 1st. It will be lined by the County.

In the Fall of 2004, permission may be granted for PSA to use the park. More to follow.

Bad news: Restrooms will not be open at the beginning of the spring season.

But the good news is the Port a Potty's will be fully operational.

Motion made by Joe Pomponio to adjourn the meeting @ 9:25 PM and seconded by Troy Yaede.

Respectfully submitted by:

Jackie Jackson, PSA Secretary
