Treasurer’s Report:

The Treasurer’s Report was unavailable for tonight’s meeting.  The club will review January and February’s Report at the February meeting.

Vice President Traveling:

The Jersey Coast meeting held in January was Flight Night.  All traveling teams have been registered.  You can look up your team’s schedule.  Referee fees are going up to $80 a game, ($40 for center, and $20 each for sides).  We need to make sure that we have representation at all Jersey Coast meetings or we will get fined.

MOSA meeting held in January was Flight Night.  Travel season begins on March 13th.  All traveling teams have been registered.  You can look up your team’s schedule.  Walt Hopson resigned as referee assigner.  Perhaps we can arrange Barry Stubbs to be our assigner.  Contact Ray from the Alliance to see what his plans are.

All coaches, we need to make sure that parents, players, and coaches conduct themselves respectfully at all games.  Please adhere to any and all calls made by the referees.  Any coaches who need any type of paperwork, please contact Mike Angelus as soon as possible.  We will order 6 blank pass packets for anyone who may need them.  Please email the score of your game whether you won or lost.  This way all information will be submitted.

Vice President of Recreation:

We had two registrations so far in January.  We had approximately 60 players register for recreational play and 7 register for traveling.  We have two final registration dates in February.  Final registrations will be held on:

Friday, February 6th from 6:30 to 9:00PM at Tip Seaman Park

Saturday, February 7th from 11AM to 2PM at the Little Egg Harbor Library

The club would appreciate any and all help during these final registration dates.  If you have not done so, call your last season’s team to make sure they come out to register.  Vicki will call all the recreational coaches to find a good night to pick teams.

Quartermaster:

The Executive Board met and decided to purchase new goals.  They are 6 ft wide, 4 ft high, and 3 ft deep.  These goals will be used for game day only.  For practice, the pugg goals will be used.

A discussion took place about sponsors for the recreational players.  A motion was made by Pat MacNeil that a sponsor will provide $300 and receive their business name on a recreational shirt for the season, and receive a plaque.  Joe Ventresca 2nd the motion and it was carried with a 6 to 1 approval.

For the upcoming season, Bill will continue to deal with the Public Works department.  Any and all equipment will be order, distributed, and collected by Steve and Tony.

The front football field is closed for this season.

Old Business:

The club is offering an F license class on Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st.  Tentative times are Friday from 6 to 9PM and Saturday from 8AM to 2PM.  The club will refund any coach who continues to coach for our club.

Our PDO will begin once our practices are under way, unless we can get indoor facilities.  The Executive Board decided to give the Weickhorst’s a room, and dinner in Atlantic City for housing our last season’s PDO.

It was decided that the club will fine any traveling coach for not showing up at our monthly meetings.  Our dilemma was how do we encourage our recreational coaches to attend these monthly meetings?  It was decided by the Executive Board that every recreational coach will have to pay for their child’s registration.  If the recreational coach attends most of the meetings for that season, the coach will be refunded their child/children’s registration monies.  Discussion.

New Business:

Vicki Landolf is resigning as the Executive Board Secretary.  Jackie Jackson has agreed to take Vicki’s position.  It is good to finally have a 7 member Executive Board.  Welcome Jackie and thank you!

Next meeting is March 2nd at 7:30PM.

Motion made by Joe Ventresca to adjourn the meeting @8:57PM and seconded by Bill McGuire.

Respectfully submitted by:

Vicki Landolf, PSA Secretary
