The issuing of checks will follow the same procedure. You need to let us know if you need a check a few days in advance. Our goal for this year is to have all the accounts cleaned up by the spring. We will take care of the Yellow Jacket account, Screaming Eagles account, and the Falcons account.Vice President Traveling:We need to have a solid representation at all MOSA and Jersey Coast Meetings. We were fined $120 for missed meetings. This is unacceptable. If you are a representative, you need to contact Mike the day after so he can prepare for our next meeting. You also will be expected to report any information from the meeting to us. You also need to make sure that someone is at every meeting! After a great deal of discussion on the floor, Joe Pomponio made a motion that if a traveling team is not represented by either the head coach or the assistant coach, their traveling team account will be fined $20 for each missed PSA meeting. Cathy Errico seconded the motion. So carried. We need to discuss possible ways to encourage the Recreation coaches to attend every monthly meeting. If you have any suggestions, please contact a Board Member. TABLEDAll traveling teams registrations are due on or before March 2, 2004. The flyers will also advertise the need for players for an 11 year old girls’ traveling team, an 8 year old girls’ traveling team, and a 7 year old boys’ traveling team.We are going to look at changing the format for Division One. We are looking to create smaller teams and play 8 V 8 with fold up goals. The fold up goals are approx. $50 a piece. We will use the pop up goals for practice. All recreation coaches will be called to collect any equipment that was not returned. We will also look at last season’s numbers to see if we should lower the cut off date for Division 3.Quartermaster:We have two new quartermasters for the 2004 year. Steve and Tony will take over all the ordering for equipment, trophies, shirts, etc. We are going to do all of our ordering through MLS. All coaches and parents who would like to purchase any type of equipment, please see Steve or Tony. This will help us to bank money for the club (See more information under Old Business). They also will be in charge of handing out and collecting all equipment from the coaches. We need to set a date in February to do a complete inventory of all equipment between the quartermasters, Bill and Vicki.Old Business:F license course is set for Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st. It will be held at the PRMS gym. The cost is $30 payable to NJ Youth Soccer. The club will reimburse you for your payment if you receive the certificate and continue to coach with us. If you are interested, please leave your name, phone number on the hotline and a Board member will get back to you.We signed an agreement with MLS. We are also involved with the exchange program. For every dollar we spend, it accumulates in our account to get free training for our club. It will be a one stop shopping deal. With our past purchases, we have earned 5 free weeks with a second PDO trainer for the spring. The PDO will also identify possible recreational players that have the potential to move on to a traveling team.New Business:We need to find someone who would be interested in housing the PDO’s for the spring season. If anyone is interested, please contact a Board member.A motion was made by Bob Buono to show our appreciation to the Weickhorst family for their generosity in housing our PDO this past fall.
