Meeting called to order @ 7:40PM by Bill O’Connell

Meeting Minutes from September 2, 2003.

Minutes approved on a motion from Pete Byrne and seconded by Joe Pomponio.

Treasurer’s Report:

Motion to accept Treasurer’s Report made by Christine Papernik and seconded by Pete Byrne.  Please note that $117 was misplaced in the Riptide account.  It should have been placed in the General Fund.  We are still waiting for the traveling teams to hand in their team roster and all registrations.  Please don’t spend what you see in the accounts, due to the fact that we are waiting for the final rosters and registrations.  Recreation Fund is also actually less $5000 due to a payment to MLS.

Vice President Traveling:

Troy made mention that his team will purchase new uniforms for his traveling team.  No 7 year olds will be permitted to travel for Jersey Coast and MOSA.  If you have any complaints about referees, please submit them in writing.  Do not approach a referee under any circumstances.  Jeffery Vitale and Johnathan Yaede have advanced to the Sectionals for Dribble Shoot and Score!  Great job boys!  Perhaps our club should look into hosting a Sectional here in the future.

Vice President of Recreation:

Rutgers course for all recreation coaches will be held on Thursday, October 16th from 6:30PM to 9:30PM.  This will be held at Pinelands Regional room 105.  There is a $35 fee which the club will refund once you have the documentation that you completed the course.  Please call the Adult Education office (296-3106) for more details.  We are having a problem with water bottles being left on the field.  Please encourage all your parents and players to clean up after themselves.  We might have two teams that will move up to become traveling teams in the spring.  More information will follow.  We had about 15 late registrations for the fall season.  For the spring season we will also set up a cut off date for late registrations as well.  Bathrooms seem to be our biggest complaint.  Indoor facility use is as follows:

Tuckerton Elementary School:

October-  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (no October 13th)

November- Monday only (no November 17th)

Pinelands Regional High School:

Mondays 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17 Full Gym (main floor)

Tues. and Wed.- 10/21, 10/22, 10/28, 10/29, 11/4, 11/5, 11/11, 11/12, 11/18, 11/19 (½ gym main floor)

Pinelands Regional Middle School:

Mondays- 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17 (main gym)

Tuesdays- 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11 (aux. gym)

Quartermaster:

New 6 ½ x 12 goals have been put up.  Please do your best to keep players off of the nets.  The 7 x 21 goal nets need to be placed on, let Bill know if you can help.  The club is trying to decide on the best place to erect a bulletin board to post various information to players and parents.

Old Business:

America’s Fest did not go off.  We had eleven teams sign up.  We have decided to refund all the money with a letter thanking them for their support.  We could add their business card to the web page for no cost as an extra thank you.  Older traveling players do not like the cat paws that run on the sides of the uniform.  Pat Mac Neil made a motion to replace the uniform as long as it abides by the league colors, but the uniform style may be different.  Troy seconded the motion.  5 votes against, 0 for the motion.  The motion did not pass.  Mike made a motion to keep dynamic uniform with the option of having stripes or cat paws running down the sides of the uniform.  Bill M. seconded the motion.  2 votes against, 4 votes for the motion.  The motion carried.
