PINELANDS SOCCER ASSOCIATION

MINUTES FROM AUGUST 5, 2003 MEETING

Meeting called to order @ 7:35PM by Bill O’Connell

Meeting Minutes from July 1, 2003. 

Minutes approved on a motion from Pat MaGee and seconded by Jason Nass.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Motion to accept Treasurer’s Report made by Mike Angelus and seconded by Jason Nass.  It has been duly noted that the patches were never taken out of the treasurer’s report for June.

 

Vice President Traveling:

Walter Hopson, referee assigner for Jersey Coast and MOSA spoke to the club.  He spoke about the difficulties in rescheduling games for MOSA due to the snow.  He asked to please send in an active list of official adult referees.  He mentioned that there will be a re-certification class this fall in Barnegat.  He encouraged anyone who would like to become a referee to please take a look at NJ Youth Soccer’s web-site for more information.  Finally, he stressed the importance to all traveling coaches to check the pass packets to make sure they are correctly filled out.  Bill mentioned that our club participates in SAGE.

Troy mentioned the MLS Camp to take place August 11-15th.  There is room and time if you would like to register.  However, due to the late registration, receiving a ball and t-shirt may be delayed.

 

Vice President of Recreation:

Registration dates are as follows:    

                                                Fri. August 22nd from 6:30 to 9:00PM at Tip Seaman Pavilion.

Sat.  Sept. 6th from 1-3PM at the LEH Library

Sun.  Sept. 7th from 12-2PM at Tip Seaman Pavilion.

 

Registration is $50.00.  Late registration after the 7th will be $75.00.  Practices will start the week of Sept. 15th.

Flyers will be sent to the local school districts to be distributed to all students. 

 

Quartermaster:

We need to order goals from Soccer Locker.  We may need to borrow goals from the High School.

 

Old Business:

America’s Fest is set for Sept. 20 & 21st.  We need to keep selling ad space.

 

New Business:

Deadline for traveling teams for registration will be Sept. 1st.  We need volunteers to run for various Board positions.

Motion made by Bill McGuire to adjourn the meeting @ 8:30 PM seconded by Jason Nass.
