PINELANDS SOCCER ASSOCIATION

MINUTES FROM JULY 1, 2003 MEETING

Meeting called to order @ 7:45PM by Bill O’Connell

Meeting Minutes from June 3, 2003.  

Minutes approved on a motion from Jason Nass and seconded by George Rithianos.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

June and May’s report were both available for review.  One error was found with a posting.  The Red Dragons had a posting for $19.80 in the May’s report, it should be posted under the Dragons.  MLS was paid in full.  Seven scholarships were given out in Bass River, Little Egg Harbor, & Eagleswood.  The treasurer’s report for the months for May and June were approved on a motion from Jason Nass & seconded by George Rithianos.

 

Vice President Traveling:

Confirmations were made for the following traveling teams: 

MOSA-  Black Hawks, Divas, & Red Hots.

Jersey Coast- Dragons, Phantoms, Red Dragons, Warriors, & Riptide.

Ocean County Rec.- Lightning

MLS Soccer Camp is set for August 11-15th.  If anyone is interested in hosting one of the instructors please contact Troy Yaede.  July 21st is the deadline to sign up for the camp.

 

Vice President of Recreation:

Tentative dates have been set for the Fall Soccer Season.  Please be reminded that these dates are subject to change.  August 15th from 6:30PM to 9:00PM, September 6th from 10AM to 1PM, and September 7th from 12PM to 2PM.  Registration is $50.00.  Late registration will be $75.00.  Practices will start the week of Sept. 15th.

Flyers will be sent to the local school districts to be distributed to all students. 

 

Quartermaster:

All recreation coaches need to return their equipment as soon as possible.  Vicki will call each coach to set up a time and date for you to return all of your equipment.  Victor Moore made a motion to purchase 1 set of 6 x12 folding goals to replace existing goals and to purchase an additional set of nets. Bill McGuire seconded the motion and the motion was carried.  Please discourage all children from hanging and climbing on the nets.

 

Old Business:

America’s Fest is set for Sept. 20 & 21st.  We would like the traveling teams to help with the food.  Committee meeting has been set for July 10th at the American Legion at 7PM. 

 

New Business:

We need volunteers to go out to Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor Schools to pick up facility use forms.  We need to get them approved before their next Board meetings.  We need volunteers to run for office for next year’s Board.  The next meeting will be August 5th at 7:30PM.

Motion made by Jason Nass to adjourn the meeting @ 9:30 PM seconded by Bill McGuire.
