MINUTES FROM JUNE 3, 2003 MEETING

Meeting called to order @ 8:00PM by Bill O’Connell

Meeting Minutes from May 6, 2003.   

Minutes approved on a motion from Joe Pomponio and seconded by Cathy Errico.

Treasurer’s Report:

Could not get the treasurer’s report from the accountant.  Review of the treasurer’s report will be tabled until next month.

Vice President Traveling:

Bill McGuire is stepping down as the Head Coach of the Dragons.  George is taking over as Head Coach.  Jason Nass needs to know if there are any traveling teams going into MOSA by the next meeting.

MLS Soccer Camp is set for August 11-15^th.  Troy will be out during the June 1^st games with flyers.

Dribble, Pass, and Shoot has been secured for June 15^th from 1 PM to 3 PM. This is the same day scheduled for our Rec. Trophy Party.

We need to put the MLS camp information into the Beacon.

Vice President of Recreation:

Thursday night, June 5^th will be a recreation make up game.  Division 1 will play at 5:15 PM if they were scheduled to play at 1PM.  Division 1 will play at 6:30PM if they were scheduled to play at 2PM.  We need to make sure that all recreational coaches have at least one assistant coach for the next season.

Dribble Pass and Shoot is all set for June 15^th from 1PM to 3PM.  We need volunteers for score keepers, run the grills, and setup/take down.  Times for trophies are approximate:  U4- 12:45PM,

Division 1-1:15PM, Division 2- 1:45PM, and Division 3-2:15PM.

Quartermaster:

Bathroom is fixed somewhat in the men’s room.  Women’s room will be fixed for Dribble Pass and Shoot.  Please keep an eye on the comfort station.

Old Business:

Vicki read the minutes to the America’s Fest Committee meeting and a brief discussion followed.  The next committee meeting will be very important so if any member who did not attend would like to please come!  Bill and Mike are the Chairs for this committee.  We need to contact Ewing Sports, Soccer Post, and Soccer Locker.  The event will be Sept. 20-21^st from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Please push the MLS camp for the summer!

New Business:

If anyone is interested in Metro Stars tickets as a fundraiser, please contact Troy or Bill.  The event is Sat. June 21^st at 4 PM.  Tickets are $16 each. 

School use is finished for the remainder of the year.

Next meeting will be July 1^st at 7:30 PM at Tip Seaman Park.

Motion made by Victor Moore to adjourn the meeting @ 9:25 PM seconded by Joe Pomponio.
