Members decided that the club would keep the same picture of the wildcat coming out of the soccer ball, but will replace the current logo with Pinelands Soccer running across the top and Ocean County, NJ running across the bottom. Members voted on the new wording and the new patch design was passed with a unanimous vote.Traveling teams will start practicing in January. Need to set up a schedule so that we do not lose the gym space at the Tuckerton Elementary School to another club. A tentative schedule was created. Bill OC- Monday, Bill McG.- Tuesday, Mike- Wed., Cathy- Fri. Pat agreed to take whatever day was left.We need a Jersey Coast Rep. Bill McGuire agreed to represent PSA. Cathy Errico also will alternate meeting with Bill.Vice President of Recreation:The Trophy Party to be held on Sunday, December 8th has been altered slightly. Division 1 teams will receive their trophies and pizza from 1PM to 2:15PM. Division 2 & 3 trophy party and pizza will start at 2:30PM and will end at 3:45PM. This change will eliminate the large number of people who will be there at one time. Flyers will be mailed out as a reminder and to note the time change. Coaches are urged to come at 12:30PM to help set up for the event.Quartermaster:Coaches are asked to please return all PSA soccer equipment to the trophy party on Sunday, December 8th.Old Business:All nominations were carried over from the previous meeting. As of tonight, the current nominations are:President: Bill O’ConnellVice President of Traveling: Troy YaedeVice President of Recreation: Kelly SchneppTreasurer: Angela RogusoQuartermaster: (2 positions) Paul DellaZanna and Bob PeschkoSecretary: Vicki LandolfThe floor was opened to any new nominations for all positions. No new nominations were presented. All nominations were closed and all nominees were voted in as the new Board Members for the 2003-year.A committee met on Nov. 15th to change the format of the registration form for the recreation soccer players. The committee reviewed over 100 different registration forms from across the country. The committee presented the new registration form for the PSA members to review. A suggestion was made to indicate the primary address of the player. The committee expressed that parents could download the form at home and would be able to return it completely filled out. This will increase the number of visits to our website. Forms would not be in triplicate this time. We will have a copy machine to copy forms and birth certificates. This copy will be given to the parents and will serve as their receipt. The committee plans to have another meeting to finalize the registration forms the Code of Conduct form and Coaches’ Form. The Code of Conduct Form and the Coaches’ Form was also passed around and received feedback for corrections and changes to be made.Some grant information was downloaded from the Internet and the Board will investigate using grants to expedite the lighting situation at the soccer complex. The Board will also investigate the possibility of asking the electric company for assistance; Gary Jones is our contact person.MLS Camp is scheduled for August 11th through the 15th from 9AM to 12PM.All traveling Soccer Coaches must have their spring rosters handed in by the February meeting.New Business:Dave Jervis will be at the next meeting to receive your feedback and to answer any questions that you might have. We will continue to use MLS for the next season. We have committed the club to 10 weeks at $55 per hour. All coaches are encouraged to come out and ask questions and to share your feedback from last season.Steve Maker, our club trainer, has compiled a Club Overview book for any coach to review. It is available for any coach to review. If you would like a copy of how your team did, please just ask.The next meeting will be on January 7, 2002 at Tip Seaman Pavilion.Motion made by Bob Buono to adjourn the meeting @ 9:45PM and seconded by Victor Moore.
