MINUTES FROM JANUARY 8, 2002 MEETING

·         Meeting called to order @ 7:40 by Bill OConnell

·         Bill OConnell introduced the new board members to the membership present at this meeting.

·        Treasurer’s Report

There was no Treasurer’s report for this meeting. However the acceptance of the December’s report had been tabled for approval this meeting. A motion was made by Mark Wallis to accept the December report and it was seconded by Bill McGuire.

·         Meeting Minutes from December 4, 2001

Motion to accept was made by Jeff Rescigno , seconded by Bill McGuire.

·        Vice President Traveling

MOSA registrations have been completed. Jersey Coast is still in the process of being completed. Troy will be forming a list of the coaches responsible for attending the monthly meetings of their respective divisions. Troy stated that the Executive Board would be holding each team responsible for any missed meetings. That means if the coach or assistant coaches don’t make the meeting and a fine for a missed meeting is incurred that team will be paying the fine. Troy also stated that there are some fines already incurred for Jersey Coast from last year, therefore the fines will be shared by the teams in Jersey Coast. Troy attended the Soccer Expo the weekend of Jan. 5, 2002 returned with a lot of information on tournaments, fund-raisers, and uniforms. Troy asked that if you need to contact him please do so before 9:00 P.M.

·        New Business

Bill OConnell put out some guidelines that need to be followed for things that coaches need from the board.

·         If you need to contact anyone on the board please DO NOT CALL AFTER 9:00 AT NIGHT. A phone list will be distributed to the coaches at the February meeting.

·         If you need a check from the treasurer you must give a minimum of 3 days notice. DO NOT CALL AT THE LAST MINUTE AND EXPECT SOMEONE TO DROP WHAT HE OR SHE ARE DOING BECAUSE OF POOR PLANNING ON YOUR PART.

·         Anytime there is a money transaction from coaches to the a board member, a receipt will be issued for that transaction. This is to help prevent any possible discrepancies.

·         Troy will be handling the referee coordination with Walt Hopson for both traveling and recreation.

·         Bill Mcguire let everyone know that MOSA pass packets are going to be raised from $95.00 to $105.00 for the large field and $60.00 to $70.00 for the small field starting FALL 2002 season.

·         Registration for Rec. is scheduled for January 25^th and January 26^th.

·         All the rec. coaches for the fall 2001 season are asked to return the equipment that they were given so that the quartermasters can do an inventory.

·         The board thanked Vic Moore for all the help with the Rec. trophy party, it went well.

·         All the team rosters and registration fees are due on February 5, 2002.

·         There was some discussion of getting some sponsorship for recreation.

·        OLD BUSINESS

·         The motion that was carried over from last meeting on what the $75.00 fee for traveling would cover was put on the floor for a vote. The results were as follows 6 votes for, 3 votes against, and 1 abstention. The motion was passed.
