Minutes from February 6, 2001 Meeting

Old Business:                                     

President - Reminder of dates for the registration of the PSA Academy

                February 8th  6:30 - 9:00

                February 11th 12:00 - 3:00

                February 13th 6:30 - 9:00

Vice President of Traveling - Pass

Quartermaster Report - (Bill McGuire & Bob Peschko)

                In the process of gaining all field permits for spring season.  The only facility available

                immediately is Pinelands Regional Middle School.

                In the process of gaining access to the lighted field at Pinelands Regional Middle School

                Dropped off registration flyers to all schools

                Need copy of current insurance policies for all field permit applications

               

New Business:

1.  Introduced sample uniforms to be voted on at the end of the meeting

2.  Proposed set fee of $75.00 for all traveling teams to cover training expenses was put on the floor for open discussion

     John Wieckhorst motioned to accept $75.00 fee per player to cover training fees for the spring 2001 season only with a minimum of $750.00 per team contribution.

      All Traveling teams will have 10 sessions with the trainer this spring season.  The total cost per team is $750.00 with the remaining balances going into the Club’s Main Account to help pay for the new designated uniform. 

      All fees are due by March 1, 2001 with a copy of team roster

      Second motion made by John Gontarski  

       ***Vote approved by membership***

3.  Fundraising Committee to be established with the following members volunteering:

     Mike Angelus                  Gregg Nourie                 Bill O’Connell             

     Cathy Errico                    Jim Lintner                      Bob Peschko

     Mark Wallis                     John Gontarski                Pat MacNeil

     This committee will meet in the next few weeks to establish money making ideas to help pay for future trainers, equipment, uniforms, tournaments, jackets, sweatsuits, etc.                               

4. Club membership was advised of the Board approved Club Designated Trainers for the spring 2001 season             

     A.  Upper Ninety Soccer School      

     B.  Thomas Boykin III

     Each traveling team will be contacted to set up training schedules within the next couple of weeks.

5.  Mike Angelus requested that any traveling team(s) in need of uniforms state so now to ensure that all orders are received prior to the start of the season. 

     A. Pat MacNeil requested the purchase of uniforms for both the Redhots & Blackhawks.

6. Sample club uniforms were proudly displayed by Susan Dasti.  (She modeled them so well)

      By unanimous decision, the new Club designated uniform will be:

                                Umbro Dynamo jersey and shorts ( forrest green )

                                White socks with green stripe

                                White number on back

                                Gold PSA logo on chest

      *All Traveling teams must wear the new designated uniform upon the next purchase as per the approved Vision Statement.

7. John Wieckhorst briefly discussed the concern of our referee situation and encouraged new referee recruitment.  He also informed the membership of a few available spots left in the Bayville Referee School.  John will also be attending registration nights to actively recruit referees.

8.  John Wieckhorst requested that the remaining balance of the Pinelands Strikers account be transferred into the Club’s main account. 

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by John Wieckhorst and seconded by Susan Dasti.
